United Way of Lebanon County’s Day of Caring is a one-day, community-wide volunteer event that mobilizes neighbors, businesses, and schools to complete hands-on projects that directly benefit local nonprofits, schools, parks, and community sites. It’s a chance to roll up your sleeves, meet other volunteers, and leave Lebanon County a little cleaner, safer, and more welcoming.
Why Day of Caring Matters
Day of Caring helps local nonprofits tackle meaningful projects they don’t always have staff or budget for– projects that improve client services, beautify public spaces, and make programs more effective. These one-day projects let agencies get essential work done while volunteers get a rewarding, team-building experience that shows what “give where you live” really means.
Typical Projects Volunteers Complete
United Way chapters run a wide range of Day of Caring projects designed to fit different skill levels and group sizes. Examples include:
